Taking your Rustic Life Outside.

Who says your rustic home has to only be on the inside? Why not expand to the outside, and really get back to nature with rustic outdoor furniture. You can give yourself the experience of going up into the woods on a camping trip every day. Think of going out in the backyard, setting up a picnic for the family on a pair oflog picnic tables and enjoying the sounds of the birds in the trees and each other’s company. It’s all of the charm of a camping trip without ever having to pitch a tent or find a campground with an opening.

When you invite a few friends over on a mild spring night, why stay cooped up inside when you can move the party outside and feel like you’re miles away from civilization, entertaining on your rustic patio furniture. You can even add a few lanterns and candles to complete the aura of a woodland vacation.

If you prefer the more relaxing idea of sitting back on your rustic log patio furniture, maybe a rocking chair would be more the right style, to allow you to lean back and watch the day go by.

An avid gardener can also take their love of rustic items and transfer it into the garden. What is more natural than growing plants from the earth?  Why not have a rustic garden furniture setting in the middle of all those flowers and plants? You can even create complete gardenscapes, adding wooden bridges, fountains and antique fencing to define the area.

In order to keep your country getaway in shape you also need to make sure you know how to take care of your outdoor rustic furniture. While yourrustic picnic tables may look great when you first get them, you need to protect them from the elements.

Before you make the purchase, make sure it is well constructed and is sturdy, Test it out a few times to be sure it is comfortable and stout. Then use a marine varnish, or other ultraviolet blocking varnish to protect it. Also, make sure to check periodically for mold, rot, or stains. The more quickly you catch problems and stop them, the longer yourrustic outdoor furniture will last.
